INTERNAL MEDICINE
Kendra J. Belfi, M.D.
A member of the Clinic staff since 1976, Dr. Belfi graduated from
Rice University in 1968. She earned her medical degree from the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed an
internship and residency in internal medicine at the Veterans
Administration and Parkland Hospital. Dr. Belfi is board certified
in internal medicine and geriatrics.
J. Steven Childers, M.D.
A Fort Worth native, Dr. Childers graduated from Houston Baptist
University in 1982, completed his medical training in 1989 at The
University of Texas in Galveston, including his internship and his
residency. He began his practice in 1989 at The Fort Worth Clinic.
Dr. Childers is board certified in internal medicine.
Rhonda Hagey-Levert, MD

Dr. Hagey–Levert graduated with a
Bachelor of Science - Cum Laude
from Ohio Sate
University in 1981, completed medical school at the University of
Chicago in 1985, and completed her Internship and
Residency in Internal Medicine at Brooke Army
Medical Center in San
Antonio in 1988. She has extensive experience as a hospitalist as
well as a diverse medical practice in primary care and is Board
Certified in Internal
Medicine.
Ellen Walraven, MD
Dr. Walraven
graduated from Rice University, Cum Laude in Biology.
She completed her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in
1983. Subsequently, she completed her internship and residency at
Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in 1986. She practiced infectious
disease for over 13 years in Houston until pursuing primary care as
an Internal Medicine physician the past 3 years. She says she loves
primary care and is Board Certified.
Pierre Laughton, MD, PhD
Dr. Pierre
Laughton, MD completed a PhD in
Chemistry from the
University of Virginia in
1988 and worked as a research chemist for many years.
Subsequently, he attended St. Louis University School of Medicine
and completed his residency in 2002. He is board certified by the
American Board of Internal Medicine.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE
Catherine A. Colquitt, M.D.
Dr. Colquitt is a Fort Worth native who completed her pre-med
studies at Texas Christian University. She earned her medical degree
from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1985 and completed her
internal medicine internship and residency at the University of
Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She subsequently did her
subspecialty training in infectious disease at the University of
Texas Health Science Center in Dallas. Dr. Colquitt is board
certified in internal medicine and joined The Fort Worth Clinic in
September 1996.
NEUROLOGY
Jung T. Cheng, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Cheng received her medical degree from the University of Texas
Medical Branch, Galveston, in 1988. She completed her internal
medicine internship and neurology residency at UCLA/West Los Angeles
VA Medical Center. She completed her Fellowship in EMG and
neuromuscular diseases at the University of California, San Diego,
in 1993. Subsequently, she was formally trained and worked as a
movement disorders specialist at the University of California,
Irvine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and
Neurology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic
Medicine.
RHEUMATOLOGY
Emily M. Isaacs, M.D.
Dr. Isaacs graduated from the University of Connecticut Medical
School in 1980. She completed an internship and residency at the
Hahnemann University Hospital and became board certified in internal
medicine in 1983. Dr. Isaacs did her first year of Fellowship
studies at George Washington University Hospital and completed her
Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in
Dallas through Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Isaacs began practicing at
The Fort Worth Clinic in 1985 as a board certified rheumatologist.
Hima
Reddy, M.D.
 Dr. Reddy
received her Doctor of Medicine in India in
1997.She
continued
her education in Internal Medicine
Residency in Michigan
at Sinai –Grace Hospital and Wayne
Sate University. Further specialization was pursued at Parkland
Memorial Hospital and
University of Texas- Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas
where she completed a Fellowship in
Rheumatology and Immunology. She has substantial research
experience and was accredited by the Internal Medicine and Family
Practice Residency Program Directors. She
started her Rheumatology practice with the Fort Worth Clinic in
September 2005.
Dr. Reddy is Board
certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
PODIATRY

Gary V.Bartholomew, D.P.M Dr. Bartholomew received a B.S.
in Medical Technology and
completed
his Doctor of Podiatry in 1984 from the Pennsylvania College of
Podiatric Medicine. He originally established his private practice
in Fort Worth in 1985 in the medical center district and joined the
Fort Worth Clinic, April 1, 2008. He is highly skilled and
experienced in the routine treatment and complex surgical
intervention of the foot and ankle.
He takes special
interest in wound care, heel pain, diabetic and neuropathic
concerns, surgical procedures for deformities, and geriatric foot
care.
GASTROENTEROLOGY
Kumar Gutta, M.D.
Dr. Gutta received his medical degree from Wayne State University
School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his residency in internal
medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester,
Minnesota in 1992, where he went on to complete his Fellowship in
Gastroenterology in 1995. He completed his Fellowship in Therapeutic
Endoscopy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in
June 1996.
SURGERY
G. Jay Zimmermann, M.D.
Dr. Zimmermann attended pre-med at Texas Wesleyan College where he
graduated in 1967. He received his medical degree from Washington
University School of Medicine in 1971. He completed his internship
in surgery at University of Arkansas School of Medicine in 1972. He
completed his residency in surgery at the University of Arkansas
Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1976.
Nurse Practitioner
Judy Walker , GNP obtained a BS in
Zoology in 1968 and furthered
her education by receiving a BS in Nursing from the
University of Texas School of Nursing in Houston in 1989.
Subsequently, she completed as Masters Degree in Nursing to become a
nationally certified Nurse Practitioner. Further specialized
training included certification in Enterostomal Therapy, Wound, and
Incontinence care at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She
has many years experience with emphasis in geriatrics and general
adult medicine.
Nurse Practitioner
Nikki
Berry, RN, ANP received her BS in Nursing and Masters Degree
in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
